At the core of DefTune is a custom-built WebAssembly audio processing engine. Unlike traditional web audio players that rely on basic HTML5 APIs, our engine runs nearly native C++ code directly in your browser. This means zero latency, sample-accurate processing, and the ability to handle complex spectral analysis without slowing down your device.
Musician's Toolkit
Practice effectively with precision controls. Slow down complex solos or speed them up without altering the pitch, or transpose/tune tracks up or down by up to a full octave (±12 semitones) to match your tuning. Our time-stretching algorithm preserves transients, ensuring drums stay punchy even at slow speeds. Loop over difficult sections to better understand complex harmony and melody.

See the music as you hear it. Toggle between the high-resolution Waveform view for navigating structure and dynamics, or the Heatmap view to visualize frequency density over time. Watch the real-time Piano Roll light up as notes are detected, giving you immediate harmonic feedback.

Cut through the mix with our professional 8-band equalizer. Isolate the bass guitar by boosting the low end and cutting the highs, or focus on a vocal melody with our "Mid Boost" preset.
