Your Voice Matters: Shaping the Future of DefTune

At Deftech, we don’t build software in a vacuum. We build it for musicians, transcribers, and students who need reliable tools to master their craft. That’s why we’ve made the Feedback button a central part of the DefTune interface.

More Than Just Bug Reports

When people think of “feedback,” they often think of error messages and crash reports. And yes, if you find a bug or experience underperformance, we definitely want to know about it! But the feedback tool is for much more than just complaints.

It’s a direct line to our engineering team. We use it to gather:

  • Improvement Suggestions: Think a button is in the wrong place? feel like a workflow could be smoother? Tell us.
  • New Feature Ideas: Is there a tool you wish you had? A specific filter or playback mode?
  • Usage Constraints: Let us know if something isn’t working for your specific instrument or setup.

The Advantage of Being Web-Based

This is where the magic happens. Because DefTune is a modern music transcription program running directly in your browser, we can act on your suggestions faster than traditional desktop software.

When you suggest a new feature—like the recent selector nudge capability (see our play-along guide) or the dynamic visualizer threshold—we don’t have to wait months to bundle it into a massive “Version 2.0” installer. We can build it, test it, and deploy it. The next time you refresh the page, it’s there. Instantly.

improving Together

We are constantly tweaking our algorithms to better transcribe audio, improve song analysis, and ensure that features like the speed music control remain artifact-free. Your input helps us prioritize what to build next.

So please, don’t be shy. If you love something, let us know. If you want something, let us know. If you hate something, let us know even louder. We’re listening.
