Today marks a significant milestone for us at Deftech. We are officially launching DefTune, our browser-based audio analysis and practice tool.
For years, musicians have had to choose between heavy, expensive DAW software (Digital Audio Workstations) or sketchy online converters that upload your files to unknown servers. We believed there had to be a better way.
Why WebAssembly?
The secret sauce behind DefTune is WebAssembly (Wasm). This technology allows us to run high-performance C++ code directly in your browser. This means:
- Zero Latency: Analysis happens instantly.
- Privacy: Use your local files without uploading them.
- High Performance: Native code execution, limited only by your CPU power.

This is just the beginning. We are working on advanced features like stem separation, MIDI export, and cloud sync for your preferences (while keeping audio local).
